DESIGN

  • Kingson Electrical have a wealth of experience in creating the perfect design to meet requirements and expectations. Our team gathers all the necessary information, conducting site visits, and we ensure that the result is a design that will not only achieve the required functionality, but will also accommodate any budgetary constraints and safety requirements.
  • Considering the negative consequences that poor electrical installations can cause, poor planning can be detrimental to your business. Our experienced team will ensure that there is minimal impact on your business with as little downtime as possible. With comprehensive electrical design, you can be assured that all requirements and goals are covered.

INSTALLATIONS

  • Before carrying out a commercial electrical installation, Kingson Electrical takes the time to understand what a business is looking for.
  • We’ll put a design brief and quote together, so you can get a better understanding of the work involved and how much it will cost. While some parts of the installation will be essential, others may not be. This means we can tailor your electrical installation to the unique needs of your business. Every aspect of the installation will have a fixed cost, saving you from any nasty surprises once the work is completed. Our pricing will be clear and broken into suitable cost centres to ensure you can see how your money is being spent.
  • As an ECA Approved contractor, we guarantee a first-class electrical service. All our electricians are trained to the very highest City and Guilds standard and always ensure that any electrical work complies with the latest safety regulations, including Part ‘P’ of the Building Regulations, the Electricity Supply Regulations and the Electricity at Work Regulations.
  • Our apprentices are trained through JTL to achieve their ECS gold cards.
  • Upon completion of an electrical installation, addition or alteration, you will be provided with a certificate declaring that it meets the appropriate safety standards. This will either be an Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC) or a Minor Electrical Installation Works Certificate (MEIWC).

MAINTENANCE

Our maintenance contracts work on the basis that prevention is a better approach than cure. Properly planned and scheduled maintenance is far more cost effective than what can be expensive emergency call outs. It is far better to detect a fault before it becomes a problem. This also helps you stay in control of your budgets, as unplanned repair work is seldom included in financial forecasts.

A typical maintenance program would comprise:

  • Periodic testing & inspection
  • Scheduled maintenance works
  • Corrective works to any faults detected via testing and inspection.

TESTING AND CONDITION REPORTS

  • As a business or commercial property owner, it is your responsibility to ensure that the electrical installations in your property are checked every five years through an Electrical Installation Condition Report. This report will identify whether the electrical installation remains in satisfactory condition for continued use and meets required wiring regulations.
  • At Kingson Electrical, we have the necessary expertise to carry out EICR (Electrical Inspection Condition Report) testing for your business every five years, as well as PAT testing on your electrical appliances.
  • Only registered, trained electricians can carry out these inspections, which involves checking for defects and general wear to determine whether the installations meet the latest safety standards.
  • Through an EICR, we will highlight potential issues across your site before they have the chance to develop, helping you to avoid unnecessary downtime in the event of sudden failure and ensure the safety of your staff or members of the public who use the premises.

Check out the steps below to see what’s involved in keeping your premises safe and legally compliant when it comes to your building’s electrical infrastructure:

  • Brief & Survey: We’ll listen to your needs to understand your building. We will carry out a building survey if needed and/or work off previous EICR reports to help us understand the circuits you require testing.
  • Time for Testing: We’ll get you booked in for your inspection at a time and date which suits you. This will be carried out in accordance and compliance with BS 7671 IET Wiring Regulations
  • Your Report: Following your inspection, we’ll issue you with your report. It will be valid until the date your next EICR is due. If any remedial work is needed, we’ll propose a plan of action for you and provide the necessary quotation for approval.
